In
order to maintain the highest standards
in areas of research integrity, the Office
of the Vice President for Research has
created an Education and Training
Program to support federal guidelines
and policies established by Georgia State
University.
University research Services and Administration is guided by the policies
set forth by the Provost, VP for Research,
and the University Senate in the development
of training and education of the GSU
community.
It is the
responsibility of the Office of Research
to have readily available proper documentation
to graduate students, faculty members
or administrative staff. This would educate
and/or clarify any questions that arise
in the day-to-day practice. The transfer
of information can also deter from future
issues that may arise or be a predictor
for future concerns.
In
order to optimize the validity of the
programs, an evaluation system has been
established as a basis for measurement
of learning and quality improvement.
A multifaceted approach
to promote integrity along with activities
that help establish an internal climate
of responsible conduct will be the driving
factor for this program.
Our
goal is to reach "Excellence in Education and Training
".
